After losing to the Thornton Trojans the last time they met, the Prairie View Thunderhawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Prairie View breezed by Thornton on the road to the tune of 46-18. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-4.
Celicia Robles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 steals. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sky Swanson, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Thornton lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camryn Montelongo, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Prairie View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Thornton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Prairie View is on the road again on Saturday and play against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Thornton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Liberty Common at 11:00 a.m. on December 9th.
