Charleston extended the longest winning streak in Apollo this week by beating Central Catholic, 55-10. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Charleston moved up to 93 from 119 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Brian Halsey's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Saints 55-10.
The Trojans' Sean Hussey and Truston Winnett have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hussey has thrown for 2041 yards this season, while Winnett, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 45 catches for 980 yards. Austin Ray from Mt. Zion leads the league in rushing with 1806 yards.
Charleston's Winnett is only 20 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Rochester.
The Trojans took down Central Catholic 55-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hussey threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 20 yards in the win.
