North Shore (Houston, Texas) snapped the 7-game winning streak of
Alief Elsik (Houston, Texas), with a 17-10 victory on Saturday.
The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Mustangs took the lead for good on a touchdown run by
Jared Pendleton with 3:00 remaining in the third quarter.
With the win North Shore extended its winning streak to five games. NS defeated the Wolverines 31-9 last week.
Caleb Bedford made a difference for the Rams. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to 10 on the year.
Pendleton stood out for the Mustangs in the win. The senior running back ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
Alief Elsik's lone touchdown came on a 32-yard pass from Bedford to
Casey Williams in the first quarter.
Led by
Zach Whitley, North Shore came into the game allowing 12.4 points per game. AE's 10 points were well below its season average of 26.5 per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Alief Elsik, which notched a 27-17 victory over Cinco Ranch in its previous outing.
