After a string of three wins, the Ridgeland Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Neshoba Central by a score of 73-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (56), Ridgeland still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Ridgeland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ebo Wilson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stevent Watkins, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Neshoba Central, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeland will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Warren Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Warren Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 482 points over their last seven matches. As for Neshoba Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Vicksburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vicksburg and Neshoba Central are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
