Churchill County has gone 8-2 against Lowry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Greenwave will head out on the road to take on the Buckaroos at 3:00 p.m. Churchill County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Churchill County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Elko with a sharp 10-0 win. The Greenwave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by ten runs or more this season.

Janessa Bettencourt was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dana Buckmaster, who scored three runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kalaya Downs, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lowry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Elko by a score of 9-4 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Buckaroos in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.
Like Churchill County, Lowry also got a great game from a two-way player: Maite Bengochea. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Bengochea was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Adalyn Entwistle was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Dana Micone was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lowry pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Churchill County, their record is now 14-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Churchill County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Lowry struggles in that department as they've averaged .389. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Churchill County was able to grind out a solid win over Lowry when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greenwave since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
