Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Chiefland

Chiefland entered their tilt with Bell on Monday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They claimed a resounding 65-38 win over the Bell Bulldogs. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Chiefland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyasia Bivins, who posted 25 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Bivins' evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Bell, who had 14 points and six steals.

Bell's loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Minshew and Maddie Smith. Minshew almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards, while Smith put up nine points. Those ten boards gave Minshew a new career-high.

Chiefland pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.5 points. As for Bell, their record is now 5-7.

Coincidentally, Chiefland and Bell will both be playing Trenton the next time they take the court. Bell will head out to face Trenton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chiefland will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
