For the second straight game, Evadale will face off against Deweyville. The Rebels will welcome the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Evadale has three straight wins, Deweyville has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Evadale came out on top against Deweyville on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. The Rebels put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 14-5 victory. The game was the first time the Rebels have beaten the Pirates on their field since April 16, 2024.
Allie Seals spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

On the hitting side, Melanie Hufstetler and Madison Riedinger did most of the damage at the plate: Hufstetler got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI, while Riedinger went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave Hufstetler a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Lakyn Stott, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Evadale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deweyville only posted an OBP of .333.
Deweyville's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Evadale, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Evadale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Deweyville struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
