Dutch Fork won against Spring Valley last Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. C Morden made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Raleigh Salters was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was B Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Dutch Fork's record is now 10-2. As for Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
