It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mountain Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Herriman Mustangs 15-13. With that win, the Sentinels brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Colby Claassen looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Mountain Ridge let Stockton Fowlks and Tyler James run wild. Fowlks scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances, while James scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
