Last Friday wasn't at all kind to Independence, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They were able to grind out a solid win over Byhalia on Friday, winning 35-24. That result is just more of the same for Independence, who also won the last time these teams played.
No one put up better numbers for Independence than senior R.J. Wilson, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Le'Darius Caradine, who racked up 12 tackles. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 2-2.
Next week Independence take on North Pontotoc at NORTH PONTOTOC ATT CNT at 7:00 PM. As for Byhalia, they will face off against Caledonia.
