On Monday, the Somerset Academy Losee Lions faced the Clark Chargers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Somerset Academy Losee skirted past the Chargers 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Christin Haylock had an outrageously good game as he scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Richardson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Somerset Academy Losee is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Clark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
Somerset Academy Losee will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Somerset Sky Pointe: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Lions have snatched up 18 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Clark will take on the Desert Shields at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
