Lemont came out on top against Romeoville on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Lemont HS put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 10-0 win. The Lemont HS might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.

Lemont's victory bumped their record up to 24-5-1. As for Romeoville, they moved to 17-13 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lemont will challenge Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lemont HS will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Romeoville, they will be playing at home against Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Bengals at the right time seeing as the Bengals are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
