The Shakamak Lakers and the Edgewood Mustangs will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Shakamak will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Even though North Vermillion scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Shakamak still came out on top. Shakamak walked away with a 63-55 win over North Vermillion. The victory was just what Shakamak needed coming off of a 88-43 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Edgewood escaped with a win on Saturday against Sullivan by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Edgewood has scored all season.
Edgewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Huttenlocker led the charge by scoring eight points. Another player making a difference was Carl Norris, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Shakamak has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Edgewood, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
