The North Johnston Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (North Johnston: 23.3, Eastern Wayne: 29.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
On Wednesday, North Johnston strolled past Franklin Academy with points to spare, taking the game 37-20.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Eastern Wayne's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beddingfield. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eastern Wayne has scored all season.
North Johnston's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Eastern Wayne, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
North Johnston couldn't quite finish off Eastern Wayne when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 34-32. Can North Johnston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
