Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Brown, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. The match was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Leah Chevalier, who scored 14 points along with eight steals.
Quincy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Granite City, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Quincy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Battle at 1:00 p.m. on January 7th. Battle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 121st in Missouri, while Quincy is ranked 27th in Illinois). As for Granite City, they will be playing at home against Mater Dei at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Dei is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
