The Bayard Rustin Golden Knights will stay at home for another  game and welcome the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.

  Lauren Greenwood looked comfortable as she  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate,  Olivia Shuffler was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Garner, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Villa Maria Academy had already won four in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the  13-1.
 Bayard Rustin now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Villa Maria Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Bayard Rustin beat Villa Maria Academy 7-2  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Will Bayard Rustin repeat their success,  or does  Villa Maria Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
