It was a good run, but New Foundations unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 76-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of The City School. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (61), New Foundations still had to take the loss.
The City School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Murphy, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds.
New Foundations' defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for The City School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
New Foundations will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for The City School, they will take on Tournament Opponent at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
