The Paradise Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Maypearl 66-42. The score was close at the half, but Paradise pulled away in the second half with 35 points.
Paradise's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gazey Yates, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Yates' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brittan Richey, who scored 16 points.
Paradise is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Maypearl, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
Paradise and Hitchcock will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Maypearl, they will be playing at home against Dallas Thunder at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
