Ansonia is 9-1 against Oxford since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ansonia Chargers will be playing at home against the Oxford Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Ansonia is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Ansonia took a serious blow against Waterbury Career Academy, falling 85-46.
Meanwhile, Oxford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 80-54 defeat to Seymour might stick with them for a while. Oxford has not had much luck with Seymour recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Ansonia has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Ansonia didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oxford when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win.
