The Flanagan Falcons will take on the Nova Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Flanagan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over South Broward. The contest marked the Falcons' most dominant victory of the season.
Hayden Welsh looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Flanagan is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Miguel Colmenares and Caden Corzo did most of the damage at the plate: Colmenares went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Corzo went a perfect 1-for-1 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Colmenares a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Roberts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Flanagan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Nova made easy work of Dr. Krop on Tuesday and carried off an 8-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.
Cody Boisvert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Angelo Rivas, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Kunca, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Flanagan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Nova, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Flanagan took their victory against Nova in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-2 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
