Harrison Central has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Union Local Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Harrison Central had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Linsly. The loss was Harrison Central's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Union Local put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Magnolia 76-53. Given Union Local's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 52nd in Ohio, while Magnolia is ranked 458th in West Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Union Local got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Moore out in front who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Moore continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Saunders, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Harrison Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Union Local, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Harrison Central skirted past Union Local 60-58 when the teams last played back in February. Does Harrison Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union Local turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
