The Purchase Line Red Dragons lost against the Homer-Center Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Purchase Line was the victim of a tough 53-32 loss at the hands of Homer-Center. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Purchase Line in their matchups with Homer-Center: they've now lost three in a row.
Purchase Line lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jakob Mountain, who scored six points. Mountain also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Perruso, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Homer-Center, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purchase Line will take on United at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. United presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Purchase Line in Pennsylvania (United is ranked 327th, while Purchase Line is ranked 728th). As for Homer-Center, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Portage at 7:15 p.m.
