After a string of three wins, the Dixon Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of South Lenoir by a score of 61-59. Dixon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South Lenoir apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.
Dixon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jziah Hinton, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Tozier, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Dixon's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Lenoir, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Southwest Onslow the next time they take the court. Dixon will head out to face Southwest Onslow at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while South Lenoir will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
