On Thursday, Godinez take on Portola at 3:15 PM. If the 1-1 final from the last time they met is any indication, this game will be decided by the defense.
Godinez found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-36 punch to the gut against Segerstrom last Thursday. Godinez were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, the struggle was real when Portola and Saddleback clashed last week, but the former ultimately edged out the latter 32-30.
Portola's win lifted them to 3-0 while Godinez's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Portola can add another positive mark to their record or if Godinez can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Portola's step.
