New Athens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 59-43 to the Sparta Bulldogs. New Athens lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brooke Deterding, who posted 13 points along with eight boards and six steals.
