Pulaski and Cato-Meridian are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. Pulaski will head out on the road to face off against Cato-Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pulaski is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Pulaski is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Port Byron.

Danicka Gilbert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Hayden Reynolds made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily McLaughlin, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
Meanwhile, Cato-Meridian never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Hannibal 19-0. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Mady Weller and Paige Hesse were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Weller pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hesse pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Weller went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Hesse went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Mackenzie Mahoney was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and four runs. Ashlynn Wallace was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Pulaski's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cato-Meridian, their record now sits at 2-0.
Pulaski suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Cato-Meridian when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can Pulaski avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
