Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murray). They claimed a resounding 56-21 win over the Hillcrest Huskies. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-4.
Murray's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Richter, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Richter has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brinley Forsyth, who posted 14 points in addition to eight steals and three blocks.
The win made it two in a row for Murray and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Murray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-40 loss against Woods Cross on the 11th. As for Hillcrest, they will venture away from home to take on Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
