They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Warwick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Wallkill hit Washingtonville with a eight-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wizards fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-7. The Wizards haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Bryce Tesseyman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Washingtonville is 4-1 when Tesseyman posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Andrew Dempsey was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Warwick hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Washingtonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Warwick came out on top in a nail-biter against Washingtonville in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wizards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
