The Tekoa Academy Knight were the 80-62 winner over the Harmony Science Academy Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Tekoa Academy took a hard 56-41 fall against Harmony Science Academy on Friday.
Tekoa Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenneth Newton, who scored 17 points. Nathaniel McCullar was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Harmony Science Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kethen Randle out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 22 rebounds. Randle hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaden Sparrow, who scored 20 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Tekoa Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Harmony Science Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.
Tekoa Academy will be playing at home against Community Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Community Christian has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16. As for Harmony Science Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Veritas Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Veritas Classical Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.5 points per game.
