For Midlakes' part, Emma LaBour made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. LaBour has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. LaBour was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Olivia Miles was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Penn Yan Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Midlakes, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
