The Crest Lancers will take on the Central Heights Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Central Heights will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Crest extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Lancers blew past Jayhawk Linn 18-2.
Will Disbrow was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Disbrow was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Crest got a massive performance out of Kade Nilges, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Nilges is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Henry White was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .425 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Central Heights made easy work of Pleasanton on Monday and carried off a 16-6 win. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly ten runs.
Stetson Miller was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooks Hamilton, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs.
Crest's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Central Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Central Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Crest took their win against Central Heights in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 10-2 score. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
