The Havana Ducks fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Hartsburg-Emden 57-42 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Havana has won by exactly 15 points.
Despite the loss, Hartsburg-Emden still got an impressive performance from Evan Cross, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. That was a full 50% of Hartsburg-Emden's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Whitted, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Havana's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Hartsburg-Emden, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-15.
Havana will challenge Greenview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartsburg-Emden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewistown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewistown has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
