Scappoose is 1-9 against Seaside since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Scappoose Indians will get right back to it and host the Seaside Seagulls at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Scappoose focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday.
Scappoose pushed their score all the way to 69, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Astoria 75-69. Scappoose has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Scappoose's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Colton Sprenger, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and Elijah Greenan Biggs who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Butler, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Seaside earned a 53-44 victory over Astoria on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seaside.
Scappoose's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Seaside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
