The Sandy Valley Sidewinders stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Word of Life Christian Academy 57-35. That's another feather in the cap for Sandy Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sandy Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damion Turner, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Turner is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher LeClair, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Sandy Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Word of Life Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Sandy Valley will head out on the road to take on the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Baptist Academy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Word of Life Christian Academy, they and the Eagles will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
