In what's become a running theme this season, the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Dreher, posting a 49-20 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Orangeburg-Wilkinson sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Jenia Haigler, who scored 18 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tameya Knotts, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Dreher, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson will head out on the road to face off against Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lower Richland is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Orangeburg-Wilkinson a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Dreher will take on Gilbert at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Gilbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
