The Cheraw Braves had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chesterfield 70-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Cheraw, who have now won three games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Aiden Nolan was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 199 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Cam Mcclendon was another key contributor, rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Cheraw's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Chesterfield, their loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
Cheraw will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chesterfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
