The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adam Smith, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Heitzmann, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Comenius pushed their score all the way to 68 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of New Hope Leadership Academy by a score of 70-68. Comenius just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Walnut Grove Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Comenius, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
Walnut Grove Christian was taken down by Comenius 86-26 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Walnut Grove Christian was down 46-17.
