The Owen Warhorses's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Draughn. Owen has not had much luck with Draughn recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Owen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daxon Mason. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Mason also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Eli Lewkowicz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Owen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Draughn, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owen will be home for the holidays to greet Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
