Despite the loss, Bishop Blanchet still got an impressive performance from Sadie Graves, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Graves has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Neko Joseph was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
West Seattle was led to victory by Alyssa Neumann and Carmen Cruz. Neumann scored seven points along with 22 rebounds and three blocks, while Cruz scored 25 points along with two steals and two blocks. Neumann hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Seneca Lucas, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bishop Blanchet dropped their record down to 5-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for West Seattle, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Bishop Blanchet will head out on the road to square off against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Roosevelt is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.4 points per game. As for West Seattle, they will be playing at home against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Seattle in Washington (Lakeside is ranked 13th, while West Seattle is ranked 110th).
