Southridge's CONNOR CRAIG rumbled for the longest rushing play in Pocket this season in his game against North Posey last week. CRAIG ran for 77 yards on the play and finished with 239 on the day as his team topped the Vikings.
South Spencer moved up to 98 from 132 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rebels climbed the ranks as a result of beating Owensboro Catholic 48-34.
Gibson Southern's dynamic duo of Nick Sellers and Hayden Maurer proved to be unstoppable against Boonville, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sellers threw for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns and Maurer had 60 yards receiving. Brooks Martin helped Gibson Southern's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 45 yards.
The Titans' dynamic duo of Sellers and Maurer proved tough for the Pioneers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Maurer was the best receiver in the league this week as Gibson Southern beat Boonville.
Elliott Brown was the most successful running back in Pocket this week. He ran for 242 yards on 17 carries as Tell City defeated James Blankenship's team. Reese Miller also contributed to the rushing game with 100 yards on the ground.
Sellers put up the best numbers through the air as the Titans defeated the Pioneers.
Brown was a beast in the backfield as the Marksmen beat Pike Central.
He went 16-20 with 0 interceptions.
Brown was a passing and rushing force as Tell City defeated the Chargers.
5-foot-11 quarterback Sellers of Gibson Southern is the league leader in passing yards this season with 718. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bryce Martin. The North Posey star has 12 catches for 202 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when South Spencer takes on Southridge. Tom Packer's team is currently in fourth, while Scott Buening's team is in third.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Titans beat Boonville 45-7,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
