While Salem's win against Lord Botetourt wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Cavaliers on Friday. Salem haven't had any issues with Lord Botetourt recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Logan Lavinder and Anthony Rugama scored both of Salem's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Salem's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lord Botetourt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Salem will take on Cave Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cave Spring's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lord Botetourt, they will face off against Abingdon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
