Immaculata-La Salle has gone a perfect 4-0 against Somerset Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Royal Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Immaculata-La Salle is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Immaculata-La Salle gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They managed a 21-17 victory over Ransom Everglades.

Immaculata-La Salle can attribute much of their success to Adrian Cox, who rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores, and Nate Merrell Jr., who rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only six carries. Merrell Jr.'s longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Immaculata-La Salle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Another reason for the win was Immaculata-La Salle's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Phillip Jones Jr was especially locked on to Ransom Everglades' QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, while Somerset Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Stranahan. The Panthers blew past the Mighty Dragons 35-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 21-point advantage.

Somerset Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mason Mora and Anthony Pace. Mora got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win got Somerset Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Immaculata-La Salle, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Immaculata-La Salle against Somerset Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royal Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
