The St. Michael's Horsemen were the 66-49 winner over the Robertson Cardinals when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. St. Michael's fell to the Cardinals 52-48.
Robertson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Gonzales, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Gonzales is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mateo Contreras, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
St. Michael's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Robertson, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michael's will take on the Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robertson, they will play host again and welcome the Pintos, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
