Westover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Wykieria Holmes, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and ten  rebounds. With that strong performance,  Holmes is now averaging an impressive 2.2  steals per game.  Savannah Donaldson was another key player,  going 5 for 10  en route to 11  points and six  steals.
 Westover  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 14  offensive boards in three consecutive  contests.
Westover has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record  this season. As for Cairo, their loss was  their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-11.
 Westover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  39-28  victory against Terrell County on the 18th. Cairo has also  already played their next contest,  a  47-40  defeat against Miller County on the 18th.
