Portland Christian is 0-8 against DuPont Manual since April of 2015 but things could change  on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field  against the Crimsons  at 5:30  p.m. Portland Christian has given up an average of 7.6  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Portland Christian lost  18-6 to Fern Creek on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Vivian McFarland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
DuPont Manual's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Ryle on Monday. The Crimsons never let Fairdale get on the board and left with  a   10-0  win. The Crimsons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Liv Kunkle looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Hailey Kincaid, who  fired off two  home runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple while going 3-for-3. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high.  Bella Newell was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double.
 DuPont Manual was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairdale only posted a  batting average of  .125.
 DuPont Manual's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-3. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Portland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Portland Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's   game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.9  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for DuPont Manual, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.2  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Portland Christian continue to outrun the ball?
