Menaul's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charli Boatman, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six steals. Boatman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Elaina Ortiz, who scored 15 points along with seven steals.
Red Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Menaul, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Mesa's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Menaul, they will face off against Santa Rosa at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Rosa is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
