The Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burke Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lowcountry Leadership comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Lowcountry Leadership managed to keep up with Cross until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Lowcountry Leadership was the victim of a rough 51-27 defeat at the hands of Cross. While losing is never fun, Lowcountry Leadership can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Cross is ranked 84th).
Meanwhile, Burke put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. John's as Burke made off with a 69-47 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Burke has posted since December 16, 2023.
Lowcountry Leadership dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.1 points per game. As for Burke, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Lowcountry Leadership was taken down by Burke 45-4 when the teams last played on January 10th. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lowcountry Leadership was down 29-3.
