The Bolles Bulldogs are on the road again on Friday and play against the Norland Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bolles had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Hornets 34-14. With Bolles ahead 27-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bolles to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Moore, who threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Naeem Burroughs did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 159 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bolles' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Martin Geary was the leader with two sacks.
Meanwhile, Norland and Central (ranked 11 and 39 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile match. Norland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 win over Central on Friday. The win was just business as usual for Norland, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Ennio Yapoor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 231 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes.
Bolles is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Norland, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record.
