The Fallbrook Warriors will take on the Valley Center Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fallbrook will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Fallbrook came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Ramona by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since May 14, 2024.

Hana Winton put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Alicia Sorden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Ava Allegro was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Valley Center had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Escondido on Wednesday.
Nevaeh Colon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Juliana Leichtfuss and Su'La Devers did most of the damage at the plate: Leichtfuss went 2-for-4 with four RBI, while Devers went 3-for-4 with three runs. That's the most hits Devers has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Winter Molina, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Valley Center's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Fallbrook, they dropped their record down to 6-10-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Valley Center's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fallbrook has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Valley Center, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Fallbrook's sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.
