After a string of six wins, Eastwood's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pebble Hills Spartans. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pebble Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Sapien, who posted 17 points along with eight assists and four steals. Sapien is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Delgado, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.
Eastwood's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for Pebble Hills, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-6.
Eastwood and Pebble Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Eastwood will take on Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 648 places (111 vs. 759). Eastwood will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Pebble Hills (ranked 73rd) will meet Socorro (ranked 639th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
